Welcome
CC Trubiak is a Canadian traditional country singer-songwriter from Flin Flon, Manitoba, whose music brings classic country storytelling together with folk sensibility, queer perspective, and the emotional landscape of life in the North. After beginning his independent recording journey in Ottawa in 2010, Trubiak returned to Manitoba, where he has spent more than a decade performing as both a solo artist and member of several long-standing regional bands.
A self-taught musician, SOCAN member, and active member of the Canadian Country Music Association, Trubiak has built his independent career through a series of self-released albums rooted in honesty, memory, place, and lived experience. His work has earned provincial and national recognition, including being named a Manitoba Emerging Artist and reaching the Top 5 in CBC’s Searchlight competition with “Raven.” More recently, “Outlaws Meditation” reached the Top 40 of the Canadian Indie Country Countdown, while his 2026 releases have continued expanding his audience across Canada.
His fourth independent album, Jukebox in Exile, released in June 2026, was written in the aftermath of the wildfire evacuation affecting Flin Flon and surrounding northern communities. Through the language of traditional country music, the album explores displacement, resilience, home, distance, queer identity, and the emotional geography of northern life. The release brought multi-platform coverage from CBC alongside growing prairie and independent music press, and in September 2026 Trubiak will bring his music to Saskatoon during Canadian Country Music Week, including a performance in the Diamonds in the Rough Showcase.
