I think the biggest challenges in my music career are the fear of failure β€” and the fear of success.

πŸ“ Where are you based?

Flin Flon, Manitoba, Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

🎢 How long have you been making music?

According to my mama, I was singing before I could even walk. But I began recording and performing seriously in 2010.

🎸 What genre would you consider your music to be?

Genres can feel limiting, but if I had to pick β€” it’s definitely folk-country.

✨ What inspired you to pursue a career in music

The dream of reaching people with music. That simple, that powerful.

🎡 Who are your biggest musical influences?

My 7 Honky-Tonk Angels... and my dad. Both are deeply personal and profound sources of inspiration.

πŸ’Ό Are you signed to a label?

I’m unsigned and independent β€” but always open to the right opportunity.

βš–οΈ What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?

Honestly, the biggest hurdles are internal:
The fear of failure... and the fear of success.

πŸ“€ How many albums have you released to date?

Since 2010, I’ve released three independent albums filled with original songs and covers:

  • They Say I’m Different (2011)

  • Tiny Army: The D. Holmes Sessions (2013)

  • McBain (2018)

πŸ”Š Tell us about your latest release:

McBain (2018) is an album of deeply personal originals.
The single β€œRaven” reached the Top 10 in the 2018 CBC Searchlight Contest and is available now on Spotify.

🎬 Any new music or projects we should know about?

Yes! I’ve been working hard on a very personal YouTube series called:
🎧 CC’s Vinyl Closet

It’s a 22-episode series that blends my love for:

  • Vinyl records

  • Acoustic performances

  • Honouring the seven Honky-Tonk Angels who shaped my heart

Though still in production, CC’s Vinyl Closet is set to begin airing in Fall 2021 β€” stay tuned!
